About Roxanne
Roxanne's been writing professionally since 1989, when
her first article was published in a community paper.
Since then, she's had over 150 articles and essays
published in a variety of magazines, newspapers,
newsletters and journals.
Her original training in animal health technology led her
to write for pet publications, and she's been widely
published on topics such as canine and feline nutrition,
behaviour, medical conditions and the human-animal
bond. She was a regular contributor to newsletters
produced by the Cornell University and Tufts University
schools of veterinary medicine.
She's also written for Reader's Digest, Woman's Day,
Vancouver Sun, Radiance, BC Parent Newsmagazine,
Sydney's Child and others.

not.
Anyone who cares about
animal welfare should
be aware that PETA -
People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals -
has a hidden agenda
and is currently on trial
for animal cruelty.

In 2002, she decided it was time to switch to books
and wasted no time finding Altitude Publishing,
who wanted what she had to offer. Great Dog
Stories was released in 2003, Great Cat Stories in
2004 and Wildlife in the Kitchen in 2005. These
books celebrate the true stories of Canadians and
the animals they live and work with. 2006 was a
banner year, with the release of Dangerous Dogs,
Inspiring Animal Tales and More Great Cat Stories,
all published by Altitude.
By 2008, Roxanne's contracts were moved to
Heritage House Publishing, who have now
released More Great Dog Stories, and are
re-releasing her backlist.
But best of all was the release of her first novel,
Targets of Affection, a mystery exploring the link
between child abuse and cruelty to animals.
Published by Cormorant Books, it is the first in a
new series of veterinary mysteries, all dealing with
the human-animal bond.
